Zieta Collection is an outcome of transdisciplinary design based on experimenting with unique FiDU technology. Discover fresh, new and daring solutions that not only excite but also fire up imagination. It’s a quintessence of the times we live in and a portrayal of design evolution.
The use of advanced tools for creating sculptures and objects of the design world makes the science and art to intertwine like never before. Zieta Collection derives from domains such as architecture, engineering and design to draw the essence of those. Our mission is to provide not only beautiful forms, but most of all radical solutions, both innovative and unique, endlessly allowing adjustments to recipient’s needs and visions. This is why we design inspiring processes that can lead to unexpected outcomes.
Objects shaped with air
Zieta Collection is an outcome of transdisciplinary design based on experimenting with unique FiDU technology. Fresh, new and daring solutions that not only excite but also fire up imagination are based on controlled deformation – inflating flat, steel forms with compressed air. That changes them into stable, durable three-dimensional objects with intriguing shapes. Characteristic bends and folds at the edges of forms are the showcase of technology.
Finest materials and wide variety of finishes.
Steel, copper and aluminum are noble metal alloys providing huge possibilities. Theirrawness and beauty are a quintessence of industrial style. Of course, we also test otheralloys, both colored and contemporary, with increased strength. What is more, their plasticityand elegance prove them to be the best choice. We do our best to enhance their nature by processing them in various ways, to give them exceptional character. We combine our projects with finest types of wood, stone, glass and leather and use wide variety of finishes.
“Controlled loss of control”.
Metal is like a living entity and we give it a margin of freedom. The process is kept under control, we create a general shape, but small nuances and folds are decided by the material. That’s where its beauty and uniqueness come from. This is the essence of “controlled loss of control”.
Innovative, unique and ecological
“Process designing” approach allows to extract from the material not only strength and form, but also the surprising beauty of the metal. This unique approach makes the whole process of creating objects radically ecological. From a material and energy-saving production process, through low amount of fully recyclable waste to non-polluting dying processes.
Unseen possibilities of the technology
This technology is constantly perfected. We learn with every project and every step. We observe, research, analyze and draw conclusions that allow to create better and more daring projects. Moreover, on the course of designing, we use parametrics and generativeness as tools to improve our objects. Durability tests ran on Plopp stool gave surprising results. A stool weighing just a few kilograms can stand a load of 2.6 tons. This is weight of a full grown elephant or two small cars. It drives us to create things not only beautiful but also technologically unique.
This is how @ss.jj.ll reimagined the function of Zieta Studio's #Chippensteel #chair. Hidden in lush greenery, it resembles a mysterious sculpture from outer space...

Zieta Studio's PLOPP stool is an object on the verge of art & design. It is playful, original and unique. Each one is different because of the manufacturing method - the FiDU technology allows steel to deform freely in the process of volumetric expansion, also called by Oskar Zięta @oskarzieta "the controlled loss of control".
